Hello all, This is my first post to the list and I'd like to thank all of you in advance for your time and effort it's nice to know that we have some sence of community. Well here's my issue, I recently conducted a completely new install of 9.0 on a machine and it's wonderful. However after conducting an online update I fear I may have broken Yast2 in some way shape or form. Initially yast2 stopped working for package installation, this puzzled me as I had only conducted an online update. So I checked the sources and everything seemed fine. When I try to add a valid FTP installation source I receive the following error. ************************************* Unable to create installation source
From URL 'ftp://mirrors.storagetek.com//pub/systems/suse/i386/9.0' Details: ERROR(E_no_instsrc_on_media) Try Again?
(yes) (no) ************************************* Log indicates "no src data" found However I can ftp just fine to the installation sources from a shell and manually download all the rpms. So what am I missing? All yast2 rpms are 2.8 or greater. Any help appricated also is there anyway to automate the update of the ftp install servers in yast? That' would be a handy feature no? (or even better a p2p / torrent supported download feature?) Yes I'll work on that but first I need a working development platform? Regards, Hazen Valliant-Saunders
