Hi
I'm trying (and failing) to setup ip masquerading for my private network. What I want to do is allow pop3 and smpt access out through my SuSE firewall.
In /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2, I've set
FW_MASQ_NETS="192.168.0.0/24,tcp,110 192.168.0.0/24,tcp,25 "
and I get the error message
Error: The protocol with FW_MASQ_NETS must be tcp, udp or empty-> 192.168.0.0/24,tcp,110
Anyone know what the problem is? I don't see what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks, mike. On page 3 of the firewall config (using YaST) check the first three items & leave the 4th unchecked. That did it for me... no problems, whatsoever. Of course, one has to have the networking set up properly, as well.
