Hi, try this link: http://rpmseek.com/rpm/gd-1.8.4-294.i386.html?hl=com&cs=libgd.so.4:FN:0:... (look under the "provides" section) then, if you don't have the package "gd" on your media (although it's there for sure), try this one for download: http://rpmseek.com/rpm-dl/gd-1.8.4-294.i386.html?hl=com&cs=libgd.so.4:FN... So, don't trust 100% Google, it's just a search engine which *COULD* help, it's just indexing what it found, it couldn't judge if it's right or wrong, it just displays what it founds ;) In the future, try www.rpmseek.com and www.rpmfind.net - also, you could try http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ if you want :)) I hope that will help Radu ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andreas Härtel" <labor@anno1982.de> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 7:11 PM Subject: [SLE] Library libgd.so.4 - where to get from for SuSE 8.0
Hello,
I'm runnung SuSE 8.0 and I'm searching for this lib. Because: I want to install ntop-2.1.3-20.i386 for SuSE 8.0, but this lib is missing, if I run a "rpm -i --test ntop-2.1.3-20.i386.rpm" from here:
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=ntop+%22SuSE+8.0%2...
labor:/home/andreas # rpm -i --test ntop-2.1.3-20.i386.rpm error: failed dependencies: libgd.so.4 is needed by ntop-2.1.3-20
I've searched the web for it and found an article in google:
8.0"http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=libgd.so.4+%22SuSE... %22&btnG=Google+Suche&meta=
... that says, that this file didn't exist for SuSE 8.0.
So my question: where can I get it from and: will it run and how will I get it run?
Thanks, Andreas
