Hello!
There is a D-Link DU 56 om usb modem. I think the device is "winmodem". It haven't any power supply and should get power through the usb. But my SuSE 9.0 cannot find it.
May be someone have an experience using/setting up the modem?
Thanks. Ramis. I had a somewhat similar situation except for the fact that my new box has no external COM ports so I had to get an adapter. The USB port's address under kppp/wvdial/kinternet dialers is /dev/ttyUSB0.
Not sure I can help, past that, since the modems concerned are Adtran/3Com ISDN type. The good news is that SuSE doesn't support these modems yet I was able, with a little fiddling, to get them working really well. HTH... - -- ...CH Avoid doing business with 'The Link' ISP.
