I am hoping to purchase one of these once they are released to UK
distribution:
http://www5.pc.ibm.com/uk/products.nsf/$wwwPartNumLookup/_PLB7PUK?OpenDocument
The machine, though, is listed as having a SoundMAX Cadenza audio
chipset. Despite some fairly extensive Googling, I haven't been able
to identify clearly whether this integrated audio chip, which isn't
mentioned at all it seems in SuSE's Hardware Database, can be used
with SuSE Linux or otherwise.
My intention is to install SuSE 8.2 or perhaps 9.0. Does anyone
have any experience of this audio chipset under SuSE 8.2 or 9.0,
and any definite results that they can report?
Many thanks.
