I'd like to know if and how I can mark a rpm-installed application package as "not to be touched" when SuSE runs its automated online-update? I have SuSE Linux 9.0.
I've tried to mark it with the padlock (Protected) in the software install/uninstall module of YaST2, but it doesn't "stick". Also, when I start the online update, it wants to include the package.
If, in the package list in YaST online update, you right-click on the package and select "Taboo - never install". Are you saying it still gets updated?
