What does your /var/log/boot.msg say? Look for the lines after <notice>start services (network)
A little background.. The NIC on the motherboard fried, so now eht0 is a PCI nic.. I have disabled the motherboard NIC in BIOS .. Im not sure if this has anything to do with it or not?
Not sure either. On the next boot, specify confirm as a parameter to your kernel and then use interactive startup mode. That might provide more clues on what's going wrong. Regards, -Kastus PS No need to cc: me, I'm reading the list.
