eth0 not starting

When my SUSE 9 box boots up it doesnt automatically start eth0. The only
way I can get this runing it to use YAST to initialize it, then when I
type ifconfig, its there. However, upon reboot, its no longer there.
How do I set eth0 to stay installed upon reboot?
