Just wondering, is the next version of SuSE Pro in beta? Can anyone anywhere say anything about the next release? My brother is thinking about getting 9.0, but he got burned when buying 8.1, got it just before 8.2 hit the shelves. Think its worth waiting until the next version? Or just going for 9.0? Really like KDE 3.2 and think my brother would too, being a serious MacHead...
Well, I read somewhere that 9.1 (or whatever it's numbered) will be out in July 2004 w/ the 2.6.x kernel.
I have been really bad at keepng up with this..Is it age? Hit 30, going senile...:)
If your brother just wants KDE 3.2 then why not stick with 8.2 since he owns it already. I'm still running it at home and it works fine...but in any event I'd bet he has 5-6 months before the next version comes out.
Well he has 8.1, and those Nvidia updates are the worst (he has zero commandline knowledge, so its me doing this things via ssh from 5000 miles away). Trying to convince him to wait until July, he hardly uses the machine that much. Maybe the inclusion of the 2.6 kernel will convince him to wait :). Although its his money... 8.2 works fine here too :). Thanks, Matt
