However, I think my question was missed. I didn't actually use an RPM. What's more, I just compiled, built, and installed gaim 0.75 straight off the gaim.sourceforge.net site. I didn't ADD any patches on top of it. I just want to know if the gaim 0.75 as-it-is-on-the-site is actually already patched at this point (with the security patch).
In that case, no, you need to apply the patch to the 0.75 code... tar xvfj gaim-0.75.tar.bz2 cd gaim-0.75 patch -p0 < /patch/to/gaim-0.75.patch Then proceed as normal -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
