Thanks, Mads.
However, it didn't fix the problem. Don't worry, the rpm seems to have gone in just fine. Any idea about the compile error, by the way ?
It was not a compile, but a configure error. I looked in config.log and saw this: ... configure:7425: checking for type of 6th argument to recvfrom() configure:7451: g++ -c -Ilibpcre -Ilibpcap-possiblymodified conftest.cc >&5 ./configure: line 1: g++: command not found configure:7457: $? = 127 ... This indicates to me it needs a C++ compiler. So I installed that, and it compiles just fine now :-) gcc-c++ and libstdc++-devel are the packages you need. It's BTW mentioning something open openssl, but that's just informatory. -- Mads Martin Joergensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogical, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A.
