Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong?
I get the same thing.
For server name enter: ftp.gwdg.de
For the directory enter:
/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_8.2/yas
t-source
or for SuSE 9.0:
/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.0/yas
t-source
Those directories have an interposed ftp.suse.com that's probably messing them up. Many folks have had these difficulties -- but the problem is solvable. Here's something pretty foolproof (I hope): 1. Using ftp via Konqeror or otherwise, display on your screen the directory containing the rpms you're looking for. The fact that you can see them ensures that you have determined a correct path to those rpms. 2. If the path does not end in /suse/i586, this directory is not usable for Yast. 3. If it does end in /suse/i586, use the path with these two components truncated, separating out the server, of course, which goes in the first box in the Yast screen. I hope this puts the matter to rest. Paul Abrahams
