Very strange, but try
rug service-add http://red-carpet.ximian.com
and
rug service-add http://open-carpet.org
then try "rug subscribe redcarpet2" again

Very strange, but try
rug service-add http://red-carpet.ximian.com
and
rug service-add http://open-carpet.org
then try "rug subscribe redcarpet2" again
