No matter what I try the printer keeps trying to
p[rint a file that is not there...

In the KDE desktop I open the print manger and there
is nothing there.

I go to a shell and type:
lpc status - and rec message "no entries"

but still it is trying to print something.

I type:
lprm - and it asks for my password --- again and again

or go to su and type"
lprm - and I get no response, just back to the prompt.

as su I type:
lprm winstephen - I get "job or printer not found"
and still the printer is cranking away...

I turn off the printer and it starts again.
I reboot the computer and it starts again...

!@#$%^&*()

any suggestions of what I do next?
