How do I re-install initrd on 8.1?

I recently updated the kernel on 8.1 to 2.4.19-166, but I found that the Nortel Contivity client that I use to connect to work wasn't supported for this kernel version. So I decided to rool-back to the kernel shipped with the original 8.1. I did, but forgot to re-install initrd also. How can place initrd onto /boot without re-installing?
BTW, I've got Suse 9.0 installed on another partition.
