I hope someone here can "see" where the problem is with a 9.0 install and XCDRoast. The log is below. I've run out of ideas. SCSI seems to be running, (cdrecord -scanbus does give the drive with SCSI emmulation), and I've set permissions on cdrecord, etc.
Which cdrecord did you set permissions on? xcdroast uses the one in /usr/X11R6/lib/xcdroast-0.98/bin
No - been using: /usr/X11R6/bin/xcdroast, which has worked fine here and elsewhere until now.
No, what I meant is: when xcdroast runs cdrecord it doesn't use /usr/bin/cdrecord. It keeps its own copy in the directory I mentioned.
Oh.....OK. Well, maybe I'll change the permissions on it. I'll go try to "tweek" the box tomorrow. Thanks Anders, Fred -- "...Linux, MS-DOS, and Windows XP (also known as the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)."
