I was cleaning off stuff from SuSE 9.0 that I don't use. I have a
"Local Network" icon that brings up Konqueror in dir smb:/. In YAST l
searched on smb and noted that _libsmbclient_ is installed and that
_kdenetwork3-lan_ and _kdkebase3-samba_ are dependent on it. I access
the internet through a cable modem on a single-user home machine. I
assume that the cable network is not considered a LAN and that browser,
mail and news will continue to work if I delete those three files. Is
this true? Any caveats?
