Look under /etc/pcmcia to see how to switch. It's a bit more difficult than with a PCI card...
I'm not a Linux guru, so I don't understand the significance of the output from "rpm -ql k_deflt|grep hostap" .. does that mean that there is a hostap RPM for SuSE 9.0 somewhere?
'rpm -ql' lists the files in an rpm. That means that the hostap drivers were integrated into the SUSE kernel and they're on your box already. There's also an rpm of userspace stuff called hostap that should also already be on your system. If it's not there then you can do a 'yast -i hostap' to get it. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/4M1I+FOexA3koIgRAtq6AJsHah0BwrVrLk9aeNnm+9w/N5xbbgCbBYo5 TWfyey6SzlvYEzF+N/33IJw= =xSrA -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
