Folks,
I tried to install 9.0 over a local network on a micronPC with the nvidia chipset (nForce NIC using the nvnet driver).
The problem is there is NO module for the nForce NIC on modules floppy #3! Does that mean that all nForce owners are SOL and cannot install over the network? Alternatively, can I create a module #3 floppy with the nvnet modules? How is that done?
You need to compile the nvnet wrapper using the exact kernel source used to build the kernel on the CD. Unless NVidia wants to open source the driver, SUSE will not put it on the CD. My recommendation: buy a $10 network card and save yourself the trouble. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/3byN+FOexA3koIgRAu6mAJ9rVGJk0nU3N/xUDFczMjtWe8ua8gCfXfMd X3N5ObdI18iPn37FJJ/zmJo= =Ayqd -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
