VNC cursor

Has anyone else had the problem with the mouse cursor disappearing when
going across a VNC window? I use the Remote Desktop Connection to hook
up to the Windows machines on my home network. They are using the REAL
VNC server and all works great until I put my mouse cursor on the
desktop window (my machine) and it disappears. It still functions as
far as clicks and such. Also, this doesn't happen all the time...just
sporadically. If I open a new connection, sometimes it will work,
sometimes not. For that matter, can anyone tell me how to change my
cursor? I've gone through the Control Center and tried to change it
from black to white but it won't respond. This has been going on long
before SuSE 9.0 (at least for me). Any help with this would sure be a
blessing...TIA!
