xmodmap is for an X keyboard layout. The original problem delt with the
console keymap. Man pages of loadkeys(1), dumpkeys(1), and keymaps(5)
provide enough information to get started.
Anyway, I prefer when people start a new thread with a clear Subject for
a new topic.
