I am wanting to nail down one little nagging issue on my 8.2 machine. Problem is, with the 2.6 kernel, which uses ALSA .9.7 (since upgraded to .9.8 and 1.0.0pre1), the fm port is not recognized. Setting the address as a module option doesn't work. Upgrading ALSA hasn't worked. I doubt it could be the kernel, but I don't know. Is there anyone out there with an oldish PNP ISA AWE64, whose fmport is recognized with the newer ALSA (to verify it IS ALSA), whatever kernel version. If it is a kernel bug, I would like to report it to get it fixed for the final 2.6. I have already asked on the ALSA user list but no replies. Sound is working other than this, I just hate errors.
