pin gnupg
Tom< "pin" in this context stands for "Package IdentificatioN" and it is a very nice comand line program. (that means you run it in a Konsole (Console). It searches thru your data base and either tells you if a particular rpm is installed, or where to find the rpm on you CD's. To install it, go to "yast" control center and search on "pin" Hope this helps. Gar PS whey you got some time read Togan Muftuoglu's Unoffical FAQ, http://dinamizm.ath.cx/ or his Sourceforge site: http://susefaq.sourceforge.net In his FAC, is the following: There is a package called pin in the SuSE 8.0 and newer versions, which provides a nice search opportunity for searching the ARCHIEVES.gz. If you have not installed it 9ie "pin"), first install it, and the first time it runs it copies the ARCHIEVES.gz file from the CD/DVD, and then when you type pin name-of-file ,you have an interface for searching the file you are looking for.
