YAST2 quit working

Hi
I use SuSE 8.1 Pro from the boxed set.
Today I installed OpenOffice 1.1.0 and J2re1.4.1_05
I also installed the yast2 devel rpms using yast2 YOU.
Open office is working.
Problem:
I can open yast2 but cannot get to any of its component modules to open.
I also tried using a Konsole window as root entering yast. Same problem.
I cannot get to the component modules.
I have searched google but can't seem to find any answers. Probably not
entering the right searches.
Any ideas where I can look.?
