Er, yeah, actually!
It's in /usr/src/linux-2.4.19.SuSE. Did you install the complete linux-source package?
Quite apparently, I did not (what good is the thing without the kernel source?? How am I supposed to recompile a kernel??) Now, the only problem is where the $*%&^ is it?? I ran Yast2 and it tells me that a default kernel was installed but I can only find the kernel image in /boot, no sources. Arrgh! I'll look through the CDs.

Go to Contol Center ---> (log in as admin) ---> "install or remove software" ---> "search "kernel" and it should return on (8.1) "kernel-source-2.4.19.SuSE-49. (or use pin "kernel-source", if you have pin installed.) However, there is a "security" patch upgrade for "kernel-source at: http://www.suse.co.uk/uk/private/download/updates/81_i386.html HTH, Friendly greetings, -- In the Beginning was the Command Line ---Neal Stephenson __________________________________________________________________ McAfee VirusScan Online from the Netscape Network.
