The PC giving me trouble is an HP 233MHz Pentium from 1997.
I have upgraded the hard drive a while ago with a Maxtor 40GB.
The BIOS of that PC didn't recognize a drive that big and there was
no BIOS update available so I had to use the Maxtor disk manager
software. It worked fine for Windows 98. I was even able to install
SuSE 8.0 along with 98 without too much trouble. The disk manager
provides for booting from floppy after loading the manager so I have
to use the SuSE floppies to install. I tried to install SuSE 9.0
but after all the packages are installed and the system reboots,
the disk manager has been trashed and the system will not boot.
I can restore the disk manager and Windows 98 is still there but
The SuSE 9.0 is still not working

Has anyone had experience with getting SuSE 9 to work with
a disk that has manager software?
