I'm not sure what I want to know. I've got a T3 and would like to get it setup at home so that I can sync, transfer files, etc. Basically, I have a Belkin Bluetooth USB adapter that I would like to use. I guess I should get it setup via cable before I go off on the BT thing.
Yes - you should find that setting up the cable sync is pretty painless. Install pilot-link and JPilot off the SuSE 9.0 CD/DVD and you should have no troubles - just run JPilot, press the HotSync button on your cradle, press the Sync button in JPilot and away you go. I've not tried Bluetooth myself so can't advise on that. One thing to watch is that JPilot might complain that it can't find your Palm. In which case, ensure that JPilot is looking to sync on the port /dev/pilot, then create /dev/pilot as a symlink to /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 - by default, this might point to /dev/usb/ttyUSB1, which is the port used by older Palms. Once this is basically working, you'll find that JPilot acts essentially like PalmDesktop under Windows - it will display your contacts, appointments, memos and ToDos, and let you edit them on the PC. It handles syncing data and installing files onto the Palm. It also has various plugins available. One that I'd recommend definitely installing is the Backup plugin - this is a more-capable and more-configurable backup utility the enhance the basic backup performed by JPilot. If there are any other questions, just ask!
I'm running 9.0 now. Have no idea what IIRC is
Sorry - it means "if I remember correctly". I meant that you need SuSE 8.2 at least to run a Tungsten without any faffing around. You've got 9.0 so shouldn't have any problems.
