The best thing to do is uninstall the K3b RPM, I had a similar problem to this when i installed it and I wrote the K3b team to let them know about it and have yet to recieve a response. The best thing to do is compile it from source, that is the only way i got it to work. Michael Satterwhite wrote:

I just tried to upgrade to K3b 0.10.1 under SuSE 8.2. I retrieved the SuSE 8.2 RPM from their site (and the dvd+rw tools SuSE RPM), installed both of them, then tried to run K3b. It crashed anytime I tried to open a project. No problem, I thought. I'll uninstall it (rpm -e), then reinstall from the 8.2 DVD. I can't find it there. I've looked under multimedia, and even used search for "K3b" and "k3b". It doesn't show up.
Does anyone know where it is?
