Hail List! I have a simple question... I write cd's in linux using cdrecord and mkisofs! I.ve assumed that writing a 800MB cd with --overburn flag set will do the job but every time i get an error after 702 or 703 MB writtien as if i had a 700MB cd! So: my question is how can i write 90MIN cds? Danke!!
Both the CD and the CD-writer has to support writing such big discs. Most recent drives do support overburning, mostly unofficially. But I would be carefull: if you push the drive beyond it's limits you can damage it. I haven't tried burning more to 730mb to a 700mb disc - I'm not sure what my drive can do. If you get an error after 702mb, then either your disc or your drive can't go further. Hans
