Think I mentioned it was the last version of Xcdroast. Anyway its:
Yes, but unless I have fetched the latest lately, I can not know. And it didn't make sense.
# rpm -q xcdroast xcdroast-0.98alpha14-0.pm.1
What does it mean with reference to Xcdroast, that the version 2 is quite different ?. I have scsi emulation, but how do I get info if its necessary or not ?.
Version 2 of cdrecord is very diferent from the previous one. The current xcdroast needs version 2 at least. I don't understand why your xcdroast is asking for a version 1 of cdrecord, unless you are using an xcdroast binary which is not prepared for suse. Neither you have the cdrecord that comes with suse 8.2... did you compile it, or got it from somewhere? Or are you using suse 9?
How can I check if I have 2 versions ?. Think not as the above just shows the new version. Am I right ?.
If you compile your own programs you may easily have the distro version and you own compiled one. It may happen also if you get binaries from other sources. If you type 'which xcdroast' it gives you the path of the one it would get run. If it says something like '/usr/local/bin', chances are that you have another one from the distro, perhaps at '/usr/X11R6/bin/' -- Saludos Carlos Robinson
