I checked these (see bellow) variables and think that JAVA_ROOT is not set properly. Is it? How can I correct this?: adagilson@linux:~> echo $SHELL /bin/bash adagilson@linux:~> echo $JAVA_HOME /usr/lib/java adagilson@linux:~> echo $JAVA_ROOT adagilson@linux:~> echo $JAVA_BINDIR /usr/lib/java/bin adagilson@linux:~> echo $JAVA_ROOT $JAVA_HOME $JAVA_BINDIR /usr/lib/java /usr/lib/java/bin adagilson@linux:~> Thanks for helping. a. Looking for Wap browser, I found Wapaka that works great on Windows (see image on link below). http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Adagilson/java4linux.jpg This is the command I use to open Wapaka on its folder: java -classpath Wapaka.jar;WPKScriptLibs.jar;WPKScript.jar;. Wapaka But this is not working on Linux. Also I tried what Vilmar suggested me: java -classpath Wapaka.jar:WPKScriptLibs.jar:WPKScript.jar:. Wapaka (directories and zip/jar files separated by ":" instead ";") Any more ideas? a.
Here's the quick answer: I got this to work in about 5 minutes. =) Here's how: 1. Unzip all the contents of the .zip you downloaded from their website to it's own directory. 2. Create a file named 'wapaka.sh' that contains the following line: java -classpath Wapaka.jar:WPKScriptLibs.jar:WPKScript.jar:. Wapaka 3. Verify the following variables are set: (NOTE: This assumes you're using the standard SuSE JRE install) JAVA_BINDIR=/usr/lib/java/bin JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/java JAVA_ROOT=/usr/lib/java 4. Verify that /usr/lib/java/bin is in your $PATH (I think it's safe as long as JAVA_BINDIR is set to leave this out of your $PATH, but I simply keep it as "insurance" ;) 5. chmod 755 wapaka.sh 6. ./wapaka.sh You should have the window pop up in a few seconds. -- Adagilson Batista Bispo da Silva Bibliotecário FIOCRUZ-Centro de Pesquisa Aggeu Magalhães Fone 81 3302-6520
