I used the lzo and lzop RPM's for Red Hat on my SuSE 8.1 box and they got Mindi and Mondo working, I havent tried on SuSE 8.2 basically because I no have it at home yet. I was going to buy 8.2 for home this month but since 9 is coming out in 15 days I figured I would wait a while.
After reading about bare-metal restores in the last Linux Journal, I'd like to put mindi and mondo on my systems and get them working to make restore CD's for them.
I found the SuSE8.2 RPMs for mindi and mondo on a mondoarchive mirror, but there are several packages which are missing for me to install it. Knowing that SuSE is very mainline linux and full-featured, I was surprised that there are as many missing as there are.
The missing packages are: lzo lzop newt and partimagehack-static
Looking on freshRPMs, I couldn't find SuSE-specific RPMs of these files. Can I'm new to SuSE, coming from RHL, so I'm not sure if it's common enough to some other system that I can take their RPMs or if I should get source RPMs and build from source.
If anyone has been using mondo and mindi on their SuSE 8.2 system, I'd *really* like your input!
Thanks! -Michael
