I'm comming in late on this thread but did the camera work with other
versions of the gphoto2 software? I have a digital camera that works on
the PTP protocol and when I got SuSE 8.2, I found that I could not use
it anymore. I have found out (in my instance that is) that the culprit
was one of the lib files. The one for me was libgphoto2_ptp2.so. There
is also a libgphoto2_ptp2.la file along with it.
I moved them out of the directory and bingo I could use my camera
again. The two that I moved was libgphoto2_ptp2.la and
libgphoto2_ptp2.so. I do not know if this will help but it is a
thought.
