Couriers are USRobotics Modems. I have five sitting on the shelf, one is an HST. I may even still have an audio 300 baud around somewhere.
But why are they so expensive? At $300 they've got to be very very cool
They're designed for maximum performance and reliability in a commercial environment. On a phone line that is less than stellar, a Courier will commonly outperform an ordinary modem. Same rule applies with ISP's modems. Some modems just don't work very well with certain other modems. Couriers have no such handicap. -- "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom...."
