Now I am downloading the files at my max bandwidth from the local university here.. it's awesome.
Question though.. I am using the "one directory" method for updating KDE using yast -i *.rpm
Can I just put all the RPMS from the various directories ( base, applications etc ) in the same directory and update using yast from there?
Thanks, Jim
IMHO, what ever rocks your boat What I do is keep them in the separate directories so I can keep track of what I downloaded and of the changes... but after doing "rpm -v --checksing ..." I put them all in one directory andd do (as root): rpm -uvh *.rpm 2>&1 | tee text.txt (the later part is to catch any messages during the "install") but I am sure other have ways they find more comfortable...
