Now for part two of my question. Sometimes after beeping, the hard drive definitely makes some noise. I assume the computer wants to run cooler, but I don't want to go out and buy another drive. Is this going to fry my sysyem...or is there some other way to sweet talk this thing into running cooler?
thnx
Andy you might want to invest 20 bucks or so in a Laptop cooler. A cheaper route to go would be to get a piece of aluminum and some plastic feet/spacers and place your laptop on that so it has some air flow under it. May be enough to cool the thing down to something tolerable. the laptop coolers are not much more than that with an added fan or two moving the air around. HTH Richard
