% Make sure your DMA is active. Do
% hdparm /dev/<whatever_your_dvd is>
Hmmm... That doesn't seem to work for me:
davidtg@hussy:~> ls -lF /dev/sr0
brw------- 1 davidtg disk 11, 0 Sep 9 2002 /dev/sr0
davidtg@hussy:~> hdparm /dev/sr0
/dev/sr0 not supported by hdparm
davidtg@hussy:~> sudo hdparm /dev/sr0
/dev/sr0 not supported by hdparm
Maybe because this is a DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive instead of a hard disk?
Thanks & TIA & HAND
