Last night my CDRW was working fine, but earlier today when I went to start
writing a CD, cdrecord hung. I killed it and ran scanbus- that hung too.
I rmmodded ohci1394/ieee1394/spb2/raw1394, popped out the PCMCIA Firewire card
(got the normal messages saying the node was removed), popped it back in- and
got the messages I expected- the drive was detected and assigned to /dev/sr0.
However, scanbus still froze as did sh rescan-scsi-bus.sh.
I decided to restart the computer (because I've had problems before with the
card overheating)...now I get the message below again (*yawn*):
