Ok I'll be posting some questions I'm running into to see if you guys can help. For this email. I want to update some source packages from SuSE without downloading the whole src code tree.. See I still have a modem. I want to take the sources from SuSE after an rpm -bp phase... Save up my glibc,xfree86, maybe kde and such and turn them into CVS trees. I then can update it with the latest from CVS? I think XFree86 even still has CVS sub-dirs in the tree? You know what I want right? As for XF86 I'm running SuSE's off the CD, w/rpm -bp... Fix up host.def, add the patch for 4.0.1 add a radeon patch, then rpm -bc ... , but rpm -bi dies when it gets to suse special XDM in the install phase of the spec file.. so I have to init 3, go into xc and do my own make install. but it dies with XDM, so I make -k install to get it all. I know I'm prob. on the old XDM, but I don't use it I think.. Just desktop use.. KDM/KDE Thanks, Ron _________________________________________________________________ Help protect your PC: Get a free online virus scan at McAfee.com. http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
