Dear all,
Has anyone here had experience with installing Linux on ECS desknote machine? I seem to be getting some money to spend and it seems that buying a laptop is in order. I am more enthusiastic about trying out a desknote computer from ECS.
I would appreciate inputs about the following..
1. How is ECS hardware in quality? Have you faced any peculiar problems with them? 2. I think they use cheaper hardware [which does not have to be designed for power-saving] since the desknote does not largely run on battery. How well compatible with Linux is that hardware. Any faults? 3. Has anyone a desknote with a 3D card on it?
Whatever your experiences are, please contribute.

If the laptops are made with the same type of motherboards that their K7S5A and L7S7A2 boards are, then you have some winners there! Not sure what they use for laptops though, do you have any specs? Chipsets, etc? Pat -- --- KMail v1.5.3 --- SuSE Linux Pro v8.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...
