Take a look at : http://ldp.kernelnotes.de/HOWTO/Debian-and-Windows-Shared-Printing/sharing_w... Apparently, you should configure cupsd.conf before sharing your printer with other PC through the Local Arean Network. I don't know CUPS very well. You can also take a look on your http://localhost:631 : this is a Web frontend to manage CUPS printers Arnaud Michael Satterwhite wrote:

Hi !
Could we take a look on your smb.conf file please ? Please ensure you have correctly set the new lpr command line in your printer section in smb.conf (something like lpr -b -pRAW %s, I will tell you what if you don't find this information)
Sure: Here's the printer definition
[samba] comment = EPSON Stylus C82 path = /var/tmp read only = No create mask = 0600 printable = Yes printer name = samba oplocks = No
The better way to do is to not use YaST directly, but simply edit the /etc/printcap (btw, do you use lpr or CUPS for printing ???)
I use CUPS
The tips is to copy/paste all the section about the local printer, change its name and delete the line if=..... in the new section. Please remember that the name you gave in the smb.conf should be the same for the new section in /etc/printcap
If you use CUPS you must proceed differently
