Hello all,
I am having a few problems understanding how one installs lmule in SuSE
8.2.
After looking through the archives I found the following instructions:
#### start #####
>Download
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/lmule/lmule-1.2.1-1.src.rpm?download,
>install it and build your own binary RPM via 'rpm -bb'. Otherwise you
>won't be able to run the lmule of that package due to incompatible
>libraries (in your case wxWindows).
>
>Philipp
Thanks Philipp. It complained about some wxWindows packages I was
missing
but once those were installed everything worked like a charm.
#### end #####
so I downloaded lmule-1.2.1-1.src.rpm but when I run rpm -bb
lmule-1.2.1-1.src.rpm I get the following message.
linux:/ftp/Install/Lmule # rpm -bb lmule-1.2.1-1.src.rpm
File /ftp/Install/Lmule/lmule-1.2.1-1.src.rpm does not appear to be a
specfile.
linux:/ftp/Install/Lmule # rpm -b lmule-1.2.1-1.src.rpm
rpm: --build (-b) requires one of a,b,i,c,p,l as its sole argument
Would someone please be so kind as to give me a few specific pointers on
how to install lmule.
TIA
James
