Boot problems with SuSe 7.2

      I have a PCCHIPS 810LMR motherboard.
When I boot from the SuSe 7.2 boot disc, I get an error message
asking me to try a new floppy disc and then the message
ECC multibit parity error> PCI bus parity error > memory parity error

I have tried removing all PCI cards (including the AMR modem).

However I am running Wndows XP Pro on the same hardware
and neither Windows nor SiSoft Sandra report any errors.

Has anyone any ideas how I can track down the problem?
