Hello.
I did use the SmartStart, but this particular vintage machine only
works with SmartStarts up to v5.5. These are pretty basic when it comes
to Linux installs. It just sets up the hardware, and then prompts you
to boot from the Linux installation CD. There is no "Integrated
Installation" option for Linux users.
My problem isn't that I can't get Linux to install, it's that I can't
get a RECENT distro to install. I would like to know what changed in
the last couple of years that cripples newer distros on this machine,
when older distros work just fine.
