Marius -- ...and then Marius Roets said... % % Hi Everybody, Hi! % I have just accidently deleted a file that I have worked on for weeks. I know I now qualify for my stupidity award. Does anyone know of any way to retrieve this file. Forgive for asking and not searching, but my company's internet connection is down, and I fear the longer I wait the smaller the chance of retrieving the file. I'm sorry to have to say it, but you're basically stuck. The odds of getting back a file do, indeed, decrease markedly with time, and the expertise required to recover and the sheer volume of modern disk drives makes it more than a small challenge. For the future, though, you might check out Project Athena's undelete package. I've been using it for years and it's quite capable, very flexible, faster than a trash can method, and an absolute lifesaver :-) % % Thanks % Marius Roets HTH & HAND :-D -- David T-G * There is too much animal courage in (play) davidtg@justpickone.org * society and not sufficient moral courage.
