It seems to be a very slowwwww server. The gnome weather applet its taking its data from the very same server, but using http protocol instead of ftp (tgftp.nws.noaa.gov:http) - I have an iptraf window open, and it has downloaded 7187 bytes - a lot - but it took seconds. I wonder if that info is mirrored somewhere else, not only a US server? Or does everybody in the world request it from there... :-? -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
