If OO reports that no java environment was found, then just point the OO installer to the location where your java is installed. Since you are using SuSE 8.2, your jre is somewhere around usr/lib/Blackdown/... or usr/lib/jre2/... or usr/lib/java2. The OO installer will let you browse around until you find a jre that the installer will accept. I have had to do this for both the OO and SO beta's. Much easier IMO to help the installer find an existing JRE than to install an additional JRE.
That's just it, It will not find the environment! I have told the jvmsetup program the directory where it is installed and still it keeps saying No runtime found. I will try again though.
My installation finds Blackdown Java when pointed to /usr/lib/BlackdownJava2-1.4.1/jre Dylan
Thanks all for the suggestions!
