This posting may be a case of the blind leading the blind,
but I can't ignore a plea from West Lafayete---

I am assuming you have either 8.1 or 8.2 as the behaviour you
describe is not how it is in 8.0.
(8.0 is simplier, accept the update or not !!! )
Further, I assume you have discoved that if your right click on the box,
you get a "menu" of four choices.
Obviously, if you don't have Apache, and don't want Apache,
you don't want the box checked.
In going thru the archieves I came across:

I would caution you the Yast at times "back levels" so be warned.
However, I don't know of a URL. There is probably a "README"
in /usr/share/doc/packages/yast - "WHATEVER"
I did find:
file:/usr/share/doc/packages/yast2-online-update/y2c_online_update.html
(If you haven't installed your "help files,"
you want to do that:
"Control Center > System Administartation > Help Index >
Administrative Mode > (check all boxes) > Build Index "
In addition the SuSE Help Center (red life presevor) has
9 articles under "YOU" and 88 articles under "yast" --
