I've got a suse 8.2 box, and in the same network is a dell powervault (one of those NAS boxes) running some version of Microsofts NFS server (Win200 sak, SFU 2.2). The nas-disk is exported over NFS. If I access that disk from a Suse 8.2 machine (e.g. cd /automount/powervault/some/dir; ls ) my machine freezes completely . Stone dead Nothing in the syslog, no kernel panic no nothing except a machine that needs a powercycle to come back to live again. Now Ideally I'd just get rid of the powervault, but sadly that's not an option. Is this a known issue, is there a work around ?
