Maybe your right I made a differnet assumption because I know that Knoppix puts all it's config into memory unless you choose to install it to the hard drive. If it was still booting off the CD all his changes would have disappeared when the power went off. Oh, I thought Knoppix might've messed up his SuSE installation (which surprised somewhat) and he wanted to have his original SuSE-setup back.
